Planning and Development oversees and manages the day-to-day planning matters of the MD of Taber and assists with the responsibilities of the Subdivision and Development Authority (SDA) under the Municipal Government Act.
Planning and Development is also responsible for processing development applications, subdivision applications, and agreements, providing interpretation, explanation, and guidance to members of the general public, developers and landowners, Administration, Council, and related Boards, and is responsible for initiating changes, interpretation and enforcement of the MD of Taber's Land Use Bylaw No 1722.
