The Subdivision Authority is responsible for overseeing and exercising subdivision powers and duties on behalf of the Municipal District of Taber (MDT). This authority operates in alignment with the Municipality's administrative procedures and statutory plan policies, ensuring that all subdivisions adhere to regulations designed to support growth, sustainability, and community well-being.
The Subdivision Authority is comprised of the Municipal Planning Commission (MPC) and is empowered to review and approve subdivision applications on behalf of the municipality.
MPC Meetings
MPC meetings are typically held twice a month on Mondays. If a statutory holiday falls on a Monday, the meeting is usually rescheduled to Tuesday. These meetings are open to the public and held in the Council Chambers at the MDT Administration Building:

Residents and stakeholders are welcome to attend and observe the review of development and subdivision applications, as well as other proposals that impact planning and growth in the MDT.
